Who is behind Gutterflies?
Jax is the one woman show behind Gutterflies. Although she often flies solo, she does have a trusty team of engineers and creatives on standby if necessary. Learn more about her here.

Who makes your ceramic pieces?
All ceramic and stained glass pieces are handmade by Jax in her Los Angeles studio.

Ceramics WASHING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
TO RETAIN THE QUALITY OF YOUR PIECE AND ENSURE LONGEVITY, HAND-WASHING WITH A SOFT SPONGE OR CLOTH IS RECOMMENDED. PLEASE AVOID MOVING ITEMS BETWEEN EXTREME HOT OR COLD ENVIRONMENTS SUCH AS AN OVEN OR FREEZER, AS THIS COULD CAUSE THERMAL SHOCK AND RESULT IN FRAGILITY AND CRACKING AND/OR BREAKAGE.

How long does each ceramic and stained glass piece take to make?
The time to complete each piece varies on the complexity and design of the piece. At a minimum, each piece takes 4-6 weeks from start to finish.

How can I purchase your ceramic pieces?
Occasionally, pieces are offered on www.gutterflies.com. If pieces are part of a gallery or show, you will need to contact the respective gallery.

Why is there nothing listed on your site?
If there are no items listed on my site, it means I’m sold out. If you’d like to know when new drops and releases are happening, follow along on socials or subscribe for email notifications.

What if an item is sold out?
If a ceramic item is sold out, it will not be coming back in stock. All my pieces are handmade one of ones. However, a different design of a similar theme may be released in the future (example: scorpions).

Will there be more scorpions?
Yes, there will be. When? I don’t know. This is because the scorpion mug looks simple, but is one of the most challenging designs I offer. I will make announcements whenever scorpions are being released.

How do you price your pieces?
Prices depend on several factors: 1.) How much time and labor went into the piece; 2.) complexity of design 3.) material costs. Each piece is an original one of one; I do not repeat designs.

Where do you ship?
I offer worldwide shipping for ceramic pieces.
Tattoo policy:
Unfortunately, I do not do commissions or custom work.
If you are interested in getting one of my existing designs as a tattoo, please do the following;
send me a photo of your new ink along with your tattoo artist’s handle. I would love to repost.
tag me in your photo so i can receive credit
purchasing an item on my site is appreciated, but not required.

shipping:
Please allow 2-5 days for your order to be processed before it ships. This time frame may be longer during a sale or during the holiday months of October, November, and December. When your package is shipped, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking number via USPS or UPS. Please allow 24 hours for tracking information to appear online.
The customer is responsible for providing the correct mailing address and e-mail address upon checkout. If you entered the wrong address please e-mail me ASAP with the new one. If your item has not yet shipped I can still change it. If your package is already in transit and you wish to change the shipping address, you will be required to pay an additional fee in order for me to change it.
U.S. customers: "Standard Shipping" is shipped via USPS Ground shipping and comes with a tracking number but no insurance. Gutterflies is not responsible for lost packages if your tracking number indicates your order was "delivered." Once your package is marked "delivered" there is nothing I can do from my end. You must look into the matter yourself by contacting your local US Post Office branch and your local mail carrier.
INTERNATIONAL customers: If you would like to add insurance to your order, meaning your items will be sent via express mail, please e-mail me before placing your order. It is your responsibility to be aware of your country’s import taxes and duty fees. All orders will be marked “merchandise” on the customs form, no exceptions. If your package is returned to me in the mail, you will be responsible for shipping costs for me to resend your returned package. Gutterflies is not responsible for lost or stolen packages if the tracking number indicates the package was delivered. If you believe your package was stolen or is lost please contact your local post office and customs office.
